The Lockwood Baptist

An extract from "The Lockwood Baptist" church magazine August 1928

"Sewing Society's Party in Beaumont Park on July 7 1928 was a delight to the large number of friends that gathered and had tea in the castle.  This was practically all given and realised £7 1 6. Bravo, Ladies! Hearty thanks to all who gave and helped.  On July 24, we had a welcome visit from the Pudsey Baptist Sisterhood when 32 of their ladies came, saw Beaumont Park and had tea in our Chapel School.  All enjoyed themselves and we cordially thank those of our ladies who came and served tea and made the visitors so welcome".
