OCTOBER EVENTS

FRIDAY 7 OCTOBER 6.30pm BAT WALK AND TALK by GLEN WILKINSON.  

SATURDAY 15 OCTOBER 10am - lunchtime. Meet RAY AND ROMAN at the depot at the main entrance in Beaumont Park Road for a couple of hours of woodland management.  Please wear suitable clothing, boots and gloves.  Good exercise, fresh air and fun and at the same time doing an essential job in keeping the woodland under control.

SATURDAY 22 OCTOBER 2011 - The Sixties Night is sold out.

TUESDAY 25 OCTOBER 2011 1pm to 4pm GEODAY with Alison Tyman of the West Yorkshire Geology Trust.  Activities and displays about dinosaurs.  Short Geological walks to see the Millstone Grits in Beaumont Park.  Bring your own rocks and fossils for identication by experts.  ALL WELCOME. Visitor centre open for refreshments

THURSDAY 27 OCTOBER 2011 AUTUMN WATCH - - Join us to get a snapshot of the wildlife, birds, plants, bugs and trees on one day in Autumn in Beaumont Park.
10am - 12noon and 1pm - 3pm Join Jo to do 'Arty' things - Natural Art Pallets, colour pounding and Autumn leaf threading.
10.30am OPAL BUG SURVEY with Diane and Donna.  Please dress for outdoor activities.  Places limited therefore phone the FoBP office 01484 645217 or email friends@fobp.co.uk
10.30am onwards - Identify trees, leaves and berries - information sheets available and you can also follow Monty's Tree Trail.
