DECEMBER EVENTS

SATURDAY 3 DECEMBER 10am FAMILY FOREST WITH JO - meet at the visitor centre and wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

SATURDAY 3 DECEMBER 1.30pm - 3.30pm CHRISTMAS CRAFTS for children 5 - 10years old with EMILY.  £3 - BY TICKET ONLY.  ALMOST SOLD OUT!!!

SUNDAY 4 DECEMBER - 3pm - 4pm AT THE BANDSTAND.  CAROL CONCERT with Golcar Brass Band and St Barnabas Choir.  Mulled wine and mince pies available at the bandstand with buns and non-alcoholic drinks for children.  BRING A TORCH! Visitor centre open as usual at 1.30pm

MONDAY 5 DECEMBER 1.30pm - DVD by Trevor Spencer of How the Bandstand was built (20 minutes) followed by a short talk by Peter Turner.  Due to limited space in the visitor centre please put your name on the sheet in the visitor centre if you wish to attend.

TUESDAY 6 DECEMBER 10.30am - SOCIAL HISTORY with Ken Kaye in the visitor centre. 

WEDNESDAY 7 DECEMBER WEDNESDAY WALKERS CHRISTMAS LUNCH - FULLY BOOKED.

WEDNESDAY 7 DECEMBER VISITOR CENTRE CLOSED IN THE AFTERNOON.

WEDNESDAY 7 DECEMBER 7.30pm AGM in the visitor centre followed by a short management meeting.  All members welcome.

SATURDAY 10 DECEMBER FoBP Photography Group meet on the second Saturday of the month in the visitor centre at 10.30am. 

SATURDAY 10 DECEMBER 10am AT LOCKWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH - christmas flower arranging workshop.  £15 per person including refreshments and a flower arrangement to take home. BOOKING ESSENTIAL.

SUNDAY 11 DECEMBER - visitor centre/tea room open as usual for refreshments at 1.30pm - 3.30pm

WEDNESDAY 14 DECEMBER - WALKING AWAY THIS WEEK.  Walk starts from Richard's house, Upper Cote Farm, Woodnook, Meltham HD9 4HX.  Bring a packed lunch, we will return to Richard's house to eat lunch and he will provide a pud and drinks.  Tel 850214 for further details

WEDNESDAY 15 DECEMBER 1.30pm - 3.30pm VISITOR CENTRE OPEN FOR REFRESHMENTS

SATURDAY 17 NOVEMBER WOODLAND MANAGEMENT with Ray. Meet 10am at the depot, near the main gate in Beaumont Park Road.  Please wear suitable clothing, boots and gloves.  Jobs include cutting back vegetation.

WEDNESDAY 21 DECEMBER AND 28 DECEMBER - WEDNESDAY WALKERS still meet at the main gate for a walk with soup and sandwiches in the visitor centre afterwards but the visitor centre will be closed in the afternoon.

THE VISITOR CENTRE/TEA ROOM IS CLOSED OVER THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD AND WILL REOPEN ON WEDNESDAY 4 JANUARY 2012.
