Gala Day was another successful event in the Friends of Beaumont Park calendar.  The weather could have been better but crowds turned out to support us.  Thank you.

Cllr. Julie Stewart-Turner opened the Gala and Kathryn Breslin presented her with a bouquet.  We are sorry that the donkeys didn't arrive but being Syrian donkeys they don't come out in the rain but there were plenty of fairground entertainments and stalls.  G Wizz entertained us as usual, Stocksbridge Brass Band played favourites tunes on the bandstand and Pennine Jazz on the terrace.  The fire brigade were a great hit, African Drummers entertained whilst the brass band had a break.
